MATT BYRNE
Working with Kathy has been such a positive experience. She helped me to find my voice and with her guidance I learned to listen, really listen to myself when I sing.

Her teaching technique not only taught me how to produce an open, clear sound but also how to evaluate my technique. Now when I'm off my game I have the tools to competently evaluate what I am doing wrong and am able to make the neccessary adjustments to fix it.

Even though Kathy likes to describe my voice as a "soulful baritone" she didn't neglect teaching me how to explore the high notes. I have a wonderful falsetto thanks to her and I absolutely l-o-v-e hitting the high notes. Because of my time with Kathy I am now chasing my dreams in New York and am well on my way to succeedng.

Thanks Kathy, this wouldn't have been possible without you!!!

AMANDA MOHR

My daughter, Amanda, began taking lessons from Kathy at the age of nine. The pair immediately formed a special bond. Kathy's ability to develop Amanda's tender voice with caution and skill, and bring out her true passion for music was incredible to watch. Kathy has a true gift of identifying her student's strengths and showcasing them, while diligently working to improve weaker areas.

Amanda learned how much she loved to sing Jazz, got the courage to sing solo in my wedding, and was a featured soloist in the opening act for the Melody Of Hope which is a fundraising benefit held for children with aids. There were about two-thousand in attendance.

She also recorded her first CD under Kathy's watchful eye and gained the confidence to do things she would never have dreamed of before. Now she auditions for every school talent show and school play and scores major roles every time. We feel blessed to have had Kathy as Amanda's first voice teacher because we know that she was given such a solid foundation. There is a special place in our hearts for Kathy Brown

NICOLE NORTON

I went to Kathy with only one thing in mind- I wanted a vibrato.  Over the next few years, she helped me develop that and much more. I gained a wider voice range and most importantly, confidence in my ability to sing.

Kathy was not only my voice teacher, but she also became a good friend. I will never forget the passion with which she trained me.  During lessons, “I can’t” was not an acceptable phrase.  Her encouragement led me to accomplish what I thought was impossible for me in the realm of music. Kathy played a crucial part in my life, and I will be forever grateful to her.

KATY VEADER
I have had the pleasure of knowing Kathy Brown for many years. At age fourteen I auditioned for and joined  “Crossroads” which was an all girl teen choir that Kathy had formed. The decision to join turned out to be a life-changing and life-affirming experience. Who knew what passion I had for music!!! Through private instruction at her studio Kathy not only educated me in the art of singing but she also inspired me to take this passion I had for music and keep going.

My life has been so blessed through singing and Kathy’s unmistakable love, joy and fervor were the catalyst! We will remain close throughout the years. She is a true friend.
